Aeropostales Come Back Late to Top Argonauts

The Indian Wells Aeropostales downed the Astoria Argonauts, 12-8, at Golden Fleece Park. Mal McClinton led the way, going 3-for-5 for Indian Wells. Shumei Bailey earned his 2nd save in 4 chances. The Aeropostales bumped their record to 70-58 with this latest triumph.

Had Yozo Kato not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Kato hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 8-7, in favor of the Aeropostales.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Mario Perez.
