The Fairfield Flash downed the Joplin Fireballs, 10-5, at The Firepit. Marcos Marquez led the way, going 2-for-4 for Fairfield. Fairfield reliever Bill Schindler picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jason Graves shouldered the loss. The Flash bumped their record to 69-57 with this latest triumph.

Ricardo Aragon hit a run-scoring double off Jason Graves in the top of the ninth, which put the Flash in front, 6-5. In addition to the double, Aragon had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Aragon.
