| Late Rally by Freeze Secures Win | The Freeze had to overcome a good performance from Pasadena pitcher Ignacio Tovar to claim a 6-4 win at The Hole. Tovar went 5 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Minneapolis reliever Dani López picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. David Benitez shouldered the loss. Sean Bonin got the save, his 1st in 1 chances.
The Freeze got a big at-bat from center fielder Tim Rennie. For the game, Rennie went 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 16th hit of the season gave Minneapolis a 6-4 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Rennie told the Minneapolis Observer.
