| Argonauts Get Road Win, 8-2 | The Astoria Argonauts beat the Calgary Kodiaks, 8-2, at Foothills Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of first baseman Jaden Bryant, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The last-place Argonauts raised their record to 51-74.
The Argonauts got a big at-bat from center fielder Steve Pyles. For the game, Pyles went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 25th double of the season gave Astoria a 2-0 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Pyles told the Astoria Observer.
