Baristas Solve Racers, 3-2

The Bowling Green Racers and Silver Lake Baristas provided some drama at Ashton Gate.

The Silver Lake Baristas topped the Bowling Green Racers, 3-2, in RCL AAA action at Ashton Gate. The player of the game was Silver Lake pitcher Jesús Espinosa. Angelo Cobian earned his 10th save in 13 chances.

Hiroshi Kono, who is tied for 8th in the RAAA in triples with 5, aided the Silver Lake cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 3 with a walk.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Silver Lake manager Diego Aguirre said.

The Baristas are now 68-54, while the Racers fall to 57-65.
