| Redbirds Get Road Win, 7-4 | The Candiac Redbirds topped the Minneapolis Freeze, 7-4, in TMLAAA action at The Ice Box. The player of the game was Candiac pitcher and Motzorongo, Mexico native Oscar Ruiz. Ruiz got the win, improving to 2-9. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 5.2 innings. Ruiz allowed 2 earned runs. The Redbirds, at 44-79, sit in last place in the TMLAAA Joe Torre Division.
The Redbirds got a big at-bat from left fielder Roberto Ayala. For the game, Ayala went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 22nd home run of the season gave Candiac a 2-0 lead.
