Phantoms Bang Out 12-8 Win Versus Fort Worth

Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Dan Thibodeau, the Fort Worth Cats suffered a 12-8 loss to the Coronado Phantoms. Thibodeau was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Coronado is last in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division with a record of 50-72.

The Phantoms got a big at-bat from third baseman Bob Nichols. For the game, Nichols was 2-5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 90th hit of the season gave Coronado a 9-7 lead.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Nichols said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
