| Cairo Wins, Kichida goes 4-for-4 | The Cairo Sphinx defeated the Reno Rockets, 5-3, at Pharaoh's Temple. Cairo center fielder Shunso Kichida was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Sphinx bumped their record to 66-56 with this latest triumph.
Héctor Cabrera, who leads the RAAA with a .373 batting average, aided the Cairo cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop drew 1 walk.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Kichida told the Cairo Gazette.
