| Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Raiders | House of Pain was sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.
Despite a fine performance by center fielder Mike Burd, the Pasadena Bumblebees suffered a 7-6 loss to the Reno Raiders. Burd was 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Reno reliever Mei-shan Huang got the win, raising his record to 3-5. Vince Johnson was tagged with the loss.
Late in the game, first baseman Gabe Latorre had a big at-bat for Reno. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single off Waldo Perron. The play gave the Raiders a 7-6 lead.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Latorre told a Reno Daily News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
Reno, now 50-71, holds 5th place in the TMLAAA Joe Torre Division.
