Bears Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Silver Lake

Birmingham played host to Silver Lake at the friendly confines of Edgbaston.

The Birmingham Bears topped the Silver Lake Baristas by the score of 6-3, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Joel Moroney. Moroney went 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Bears. The win boosts the Bears to 54-65. The loss puts the Baristas at 66-51.

Moroney had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Bears went on to win.
