| Quinonez Slugs Kodiaks to 12-1 Win | The Calgary Kodiaks defeated the Peoria Caterpillars, 12-1, at Excavatar Park today. Leading the charge for Calgary was center fielder Bobby Quinonez. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. The Kodiaks bumped their record to 68-47 with this latest triumph.
The Kodiaks got a big at-bat from first baseman Dan Hodgson. For the game, Hodgson was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Calgary a 2-0 lead.
"The Kodiaks definitely had our number," said Peoria manager Roberto Martínez.
