| Racers Walk It Off for 55th Win of Season | The Bowling Green Racers defeated the Fairfield Flash, 5-2, in RCL AAA action at Top of the Hill, with Bowling Green pitcher Jonathan Burton named player of the game. The winner was Bowling Green reliever Bill Almy, now 2-2. The loser was Willie Ramirez. The Racers' win now puts them at 55-61.
Bowling Green won the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. With one out and Willie Ramirez on the mound for Fairfield, center fielder Juan López hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Racers fans to their feet.
"It was terrific getting this win," Burton said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
