| Kodiaks Mow Down Caterpillars, 9-4 | Calgary third baseman Edwin Portillo was instrumental in his team's 9-4 win over the Peoria Caterpillars. Portillo, who is tied for 4th in the TAAA with a .330 batting average, went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Kodiaks. The Kodiaks bumped their record to 67-47 with this latest triumph.
Portillo had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Kodiaks went on to win.
"I like our moxie," said Kodiaks manager José Díaz.
