| Bears Edge Racers, 7-6 | Getting a good performance from left fielder Albert Rivas, the Birmingham Bears defeated the Bowling Green Racers, 7-6. Rivas was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI for the Bears. Birmingham reliever Daniel Farley was the winner. His record is now 5-5. Xavier Pearson took the loss. Birmingham, now 52-64, holds 5th place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.
Pete Farthing was the walk-off hero for Birmingham. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bears second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Farthing said.
