| Sphinx Edge Flash, 9-8 | Cairo left fielder John Johnson had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 9-8 win over the Fairfield Flash. Cairo reliever Danny Cook was credited with the win, to go to 6-4. Owen Kay took the loss for Fairfield. The Sphinx bumped their record to 64-55 with this latest triumph.
The Sphinx got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Orlando Talamantez. For the game, Talamantez went 1 for 1. In the top of the 11th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 41st hit of the season gave Cairo a 9-8 lead.
"We got the victory," said Johnson. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
