Chikao Yanagawa was instrumental in his team's 5-4 triumph over the Albuquerque Cacti. The right fielder went 3-9 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Indian Wells Aeropostales. Indian Wells reliever Josh Ellison picked up the win to move to 1-0. Melvin Arambula suffered the loss. Indian Wells is now riding a 4-game win streak.

Yanagawa had a game-changing home run in the top of the 17th. On a 1-1 fastball from Melvin Arambula, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Aeropostales a 5-4 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Yanagawa.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Yanagawa, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
