| Cats Rally to Eke Out Win | The Cats faced a stiff challenge from Albuquerque pitcher Terry Yarrigle, but persevered to claim a win at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The final score was 1-0. Yarrigle went 6.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Fort Worth reliever Jeff Van Wormer picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Melvin Arambula absorbed the loss. Fort Worth improves to 65-50 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
Calvin Moton's hit in the top of the 17th was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a changeup from Izumo Ikarashi for a run-scoring single. It put Fort Worth in front, 1-0.
"We're one win closer to our goal," Moton said in postgame remarks.
