| Harris Goes Wild, But Coal Miners Win | The Antioch Coal Miners overcame a good performance by Astoria left fielder Shawn Harris to knock off Astoria, 8-7, at Golden Fleece Park. Harris belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Sung-your Park was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 24 of 29 save opportunities. Antioch is now 71-44, 3 games up in the TMLAAA Cito Gaston League.
The Coal Miners got a big at-bat from first baseman Oscar Garcia. For the game, Garcia was 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Antioch a 8-6 lead.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Garcia told the Antioch Observer.
