| Kodiaks Drop Mustangs with Late Score | The Calgary Kodiaks beat the Billings Mustangs, 6-3, at Foothills Stadium. Calgary first baseman Dan Hodgson earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Kodiaks bumped their record to 64-45 with this latest triumph.
Hodgson had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch splitter from John Curnew, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Kodiaks a 4-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Hodgson.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Hodgson.
