| Cats Solve Baristas, 6-4 | Despite a great performance by Silver Lake third baseman Vernon Prest, the Fort Worth Cats defeated the Baristas by the score of 6-4 at Ashton Gate. Prest was 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. Bob Campos notched his 14th save in 18 chances. Fort Worth goes to 64-47. The win puts them 4˝ games up in their division.
Troy Tisdale aided the Fort Worth cause with a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, the second baseman was 2-4 with a triple, while adding 4 RBI.
"Enjoyed this one," Tisdale told the Fort Worth Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
