| Flash Turn Back Albuquerque, 3-1 | The Fairfield Flash topped the Albuquerque Cacti, 3-1, in RCL AAA action at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The player of the game was Fairfield pitcher Eddy Compres. Eduardo Fuentez, credited with the save, is now 16 for 20 in save opportunities. The Flash bumped their record to 61-50 with this latest triumph.
The Flash got a big at-bat from third baseman Dave Bayliss. For the game, Bayliss was 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Fairfield a 1-0 lead.
"It feels good to get this one," Bayliss told the Fairfield Herald.
