| Kodiaks Need Extras to Top Redbirds | The Calgary Kodiaks topped the Candiac Redbirds, 4-3, in TMLAAA action at Municipal Stadium. The player of the game was Calgary shortstop John Bidwell. The Kodiaks bumped their record to 63-45 with this latest triumph.
This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the 12th, Harley Hooper hit a sacrifice fly. The Kodiaks took the lead, 4-3.
"It feels good to get this one," Hooper told the Calgary News.
