| Philippe 3-3 as Phantoms Squeeze Past Birmingham | Coronado left fielder Roland Philippe had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 7-6 win over the Birmingham Bears. Coronado reliever Ricardo Castillo picked up the win, upping his record to 1-5. Francisco Palazuelos took the loss. Adam Sullivan got the save, his 2nd in 5 chances.
Coronado took a 7-6 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, catcher Augusto Reyes hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Philippe said.
Their 46-63 record puts the Phantoms last in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division.
