Freeze Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Mustangs

The Billings Mustangs got a sterling performance from pitcher John Curnew, but the Freeze still prevailed, 6-4. Curnew was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball. The Freeze bumped their record to 56-52 with this latest triumph.

The Freeze got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Jamie Milligan. For the game, Milligan went 1-1 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 8th double of the season gave Minneapolis a 5-4 lead.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Milligan.
