| Cacti Need Extras to Top Sphinx | The Albuquerque Cacti topped the Cairo Sphinx, 5-4, in RCL AAA action at Pharaoh's Temple. The player of the game was Albuquerque right fielder Dennis Mayne. Albuquerque reliever Hiroshi Nagasawa got the win, raising his record to 5-4. William MacDougal was tagged with the loss. Albuquerque's record now stands at 52-54, placing them 4th in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from third baseman Roger Dorn. For the game, Dorn was 4-6 with 4 singles. In the top of the 11th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 65th hit of the season gave Albuquerque a 5-4 lead.
