| Bombers Lose to Raiders in Walk Off | People near House of Pain no doubt heard the roar of the crowd as the winning run crossed the plate.
The Reno Raiders topped the Bronx Bombers, 6-5, in TMLAAA action at House of Pain. The player of the game was Reno catcher Jaime Valéncia. Reno reliever Travis Zastrow got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Jeremy Carr was tagged with the loss.
Valéncia had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 2-2 fastball from Jeremy Carr, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Raiders a 6-5 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Valéncia.
"We played hard and won," said Valéncia. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
Reno's record now stands at 44-63, placing them 5th in the TMLAAA Joe Torre Division.
