| Baristas Bridle Cacti, 3-1 | The Silver Lake Baristas faced a tough opponent in Albuquerque pitcher Manuel Pena, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Albuquerque Sports Stadium by a final score of 3-1. Pena went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The Baristas bumped their record to 57-46 with this latest triumph.
Had Andy McKinney not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, McKinney hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Baristas.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," McKinney said.
