Minneapolis Blanks Caterpillars, Cheon at His Best

Kyung-soo Cheon of the Minneapolis Freeze spun his magic on the Peoria Caterpillars today. He blanked them 8-0 on 6 hits, registering 10 strikeouts and 2 walks.

"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Cheon said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Minneapolis skipper Adam Haddox said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."

"Kyung-soo pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.

This season Cheon has worked 118 innings with 117 strikeouts en route to a 11-2 record and a 3.20 ERA.
