| Kodiaks Win at Detroit, 7-4 | Getting a good performance from center fielder Bobby Quinonez, the Calgary Kodiaks defeated the Detroit Death Stars, 7-4. Quinonez was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 3 times for the Kodiaks. Ramon Martinez notched his 22nd save in 25 chances. The Kodiaks bumped their record to 59-43 with this latest triumph.
The Kodiaks got a big at-bat from left fielder Yoshiro Allen. For the game, Allen went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Calgary a 5-3 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Allen said.
