Rockets Lose, 9-3, at Stars Field

Getting a good performance from center fielder Brian Martin, the Indian Wells Aeropostales defeated the Reno Rockets, 9-3. Martin was 2-3 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Aeropostales. Dan Kircher got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 2. Josh Ellison notched his 1st save in 2 chances.

Jae-hoon Moon aided the Indian Wells cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the catcher went 1-3 with a hit by pitch.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Indian Wells manager Mario Perez.

The Aeropostales' win now puts them at 56-51.
