Chris Sanchez pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Peoria Caterpillars, despite Sanchez's fine outing, dropped a 2-1 decision to the Minneapolis Freeze at The Ice Box. The winner was Jose Reyes in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Chris Sanchez took the loss. The Freeze bumped their record to 54-51 with this latest triumph.

Miguel Rivera aided the Minneapolis cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.

Rivera called the win "a collective effort."
