| Kodiaks Rally For Late Win Over Death Stars | The Calgary Kodiaks defeated the Detroit Death Stars, 5-4, at The Death Star today. Leading the charge for Calgary was third baseman Edwin Portillo. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Detroit's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Rob Wiegand was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Calgary. The 27-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jimmy Gregus. It was his 9th RBI of the season.
