| Bumblebees Win at Astoria, 4-3 | The Pasadena Bumblebees scored a 4-3 win versus the Astoria Argonauts at Golden Fleece Park. Pasadena pitcher Eddie Ascencio nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Zachary Royster notched his 18th save in 19 chances. The Bumblebees saw their record improve to 51-52.
The Bumblebees got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Edwin Alvarez. For the game, Alvarez was 1-1 with a home run. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Pasadena a 4-3 lead.
"We put together a nice win," Alvarez said.
