Mustangs Get Win, Extend Streak to 6

The inspired effort of Birmingham shortstop Harlan Sanderson was not enough to prevent a 10-7 loss to the Billings Mustangs. Sanderson was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The Mustangs bumped their record to 61-41 with this latest triumph.

Roberto Marando aided the Billings cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the second. For the game, the catcher went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Billings manager Jorge Magana.
