| Rockets Beat Bombers in 10 | The Reno Rockets wiggled past the Bronx Bombers, 5-4, at Red Rocket Field. Reno pitcher José Vásquez earned player of the game honors. Today's win puts Reno at 42-61, while Bronx falls to 56-44.
The Rockets got a big at-bat from center fielder Ray Bailey. For the game, Bailey went 1 for 5 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Reno a 5-4 lead.
"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Wynn Decker.
