| Fireballs Win at Indian Wells, 5-2 | The Joplin Fireballs got a strong performance from pitcher Bobby Lloyd, who stymied the Indian Wells offense en route to a 5-2 win at Stars Field. Lloyd went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 8. His record improves to 8-5. Jason Graves, credited with the save, is now 19 for 20 in save opportunities.
The Fireballs got a big at-bat from first baseman Aaron Myron. For the game, Myron was 1-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 21st double of the season gave Joplin a 2-0 lead.
