| Sphinx Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras | Cairo pitcher Prabodh Nimbalkar did his part in helping his team beat the Peoria Caterpillars, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. William MacDougal got credit for the win, improving to 4-6. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. The Sphinx bumped their record to 57-43 with this latest triumph.
The Sphinx got a big at-bat from center fielder Franklin Gray. For the game, Gray went 1 for 1. In the top of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 8th hit of the season gave Cairo a 2-1 lead.
