| Black Knights Need Extra Frames to Get Past Tornadoes | Brooklyn rode a decent outing from starter Elijah Green to victory over the Kansas City Tornadoes at Blue Ivy Stadium. The final score was 3-2. Losses have been few and far between for the Tornadoes, who are now 20-5.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Jorge Palacios came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Kansas City pitcher Nate Miller, he hit a 3-1 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Brooklyn on top, 3-2.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Kansas City manager Fernando Vargas.
