Fans who gathered at Bronx Ballpark saw a good contest between the Fairfield Flash and Bronx Bombers.

Koji Tanaka made an impact in the 6-4 Fairfield win over Bronx. Tanaka went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Fairfield reliever Bernard Coste got the win, raising his record to 6-4. Bruce Berardi was tagged with the loss.

Tanaka had a game-changing single in the top of the seventh. On a 0-2 sinker from Bruce Berardi, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Flash a 5-4 lead. It was the 60th hit of the year for Tanaka.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Tanaka told the Fairfield Herald.

The Flash bumped their record to 53-44 with this latest triumph.
