| Bumblebees Fall Short, 7-6, at Minneapolis | The Minneapolis Freeze scored a 7-6 win versus the Pasadena Bumblebees at The Ice Box. Minneapolis first baseman Keita Sato nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Troy King converted his 6th save in 7 tries. The second-place Freeze have won 4 straight.
The Freeze got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jason Leahy. For the game, Leahy went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Minneapolis a 4-3 lead.
