| Aeropostales Top Canadians in Extras | The Indian Wells Aeropostales got a stellar effort from pitcher Toshikasu Yoshida, helping Indian Wells score a 3-2 win over the visiting Vancouver Canadians. Yonetoshi Morikawa, credited with the win, is now 3-3. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The Aeropostales bumped their record to 52-46 with this latest triumph.
Mike Matheny hit a run-scoring double off Carlos Carballo in the bottom of the tenth, which put the Aeropostales in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Matheny had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.
"It was a test of wills," said Mario Perez, the Indian Wells skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
