Pioneers Jolt G.o.D. with Late Rally

The Tonga G.o.D. got a sterling performance from pitcher Toa Fotu Taurus, but the Pioneers still prevailed, 3-1. Taurus was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 5 innings of shutout ball. Vancouver, now 10-16, is off to a slow start.

Yoshiro Allen made it 3-1 in favor of Vancouver when he delivered a 2-run home run. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Pioneers went on to win.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Allen.
