| Canadians Stymie Indian Wells, Take 5-1 Win | The Indian Wells Aeropostales got a sterling performance from pitcher Chris Ambrose, but the Canadians still prevailed, 5-1. Ambrose was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Vancouver reliever Dave Francisco was credited with the win, to go to 2-1. Chris Ambrose took the loss for Indian Wells. The 'W' lifts Vancouver's record to 42-53.
Travis O'Leary aided the Vancouver cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-4.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Vancouver manager Anthony Weinstein.
