| Gamelli has 3 hit night as Kodiaks Squeeze Past Bronx | The Calgary Kodiaks defeated the Bronx Bombers, 11-10. Earning player of the game honors was designated hitter Tim Gamelli, who went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. Calgary reliever A.J. Galloway was credited with the win, to go to 6-2. Bruce Berardi took the loss for Bronx. Ramon Martinez converted his 18th save in 21 tries.
Gamelli had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-2 sinker from Bruce Berardi, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Kodiaks a 11-8 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Gamelli.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Bronx manager Glen Slaughter. "The effort was great."
With the win over Bronx, the Kodiaks improved to 52-40.
