| Rockets Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras | Reno starter Edwin Crespin pitched effectively against the Fairfield Flash at Red Rocket Field. The right-hander led his team to a 6-5 win. The 'W' lifts Reno's record to 39-59.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Reno catcher Dave Alejo, facing Bernard Coste, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Rockets the 6-5 win.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Rockets manager Wynn Decker. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
