| Argonauts Rally to Eke Out Win | Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Naoto Kajiwara, the Astoria Argonauts defeated the Peoria Caterpillars, 7-6. Kajiwara belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Argonauts. The win was Mike Horswill's in relief. His record improves to 2-1. George Fawns took the loss for Peoria. Astoria is 35-60 and Peoria, with the loss, 45-49.
Kajiwara had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 0-2 fastball from George Fawns, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Argonauts a 7-6 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Kajiwara.
"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Bernard Jacq.
