| Redbirds Win at Reno, 5-4 | The Candiac Redbirds eked out a 5-4 win versus the Reno Raiders at House of Pain. Nobody did more than second baseman Gerardo Hernández, who captured player of the game honors. Candiac is 35-59 and Reno, with the loss, 40-53.
The Redbirds got a big at-bat from catcher Zack Gunn. For the game, Gunn went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 27th double of the season gave Candiac a 4-3 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Hernández said after the game.
