| Cacti Win at Coronado, 5-2 | The Albuquerque Cacti beat the Coronado Phantoms, 5-2, at Phantoms Field. The Cacti got a fine performance from shortstop Gil Cozart, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Albuquerque goes to 44-50, Coronado to 40-55.
Cozart had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Adam Sullivan, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Cacti a 4-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Cozart.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Albuquerque skipper John Greenwood.
