| Aeropostales Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Vancouver | It was a fun time at Stars Field, where the Vancouver Canadians and Indian Wells Aeropostales tangled.
The Indian Wells Aeropostales beat the Vancouver Canadians, 7-5, at Stars Field. The Aeropostales got a fine performance from first baseman Mike Matheny, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Yonetoshi Morikawa notched his 9th save in 13 chances.
Indian Wells grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Matheny, who is tied for 6th in the RAAA with a .863 OPS, hit a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season put the Aeropostales out in front, 5-2.
"Feels good to get the job done," Matheny said after the game.
The Aeropostales bumped their record to 51-45 with this latest triumph.
