| Victory Pushes Republic Record to 15-13 | The So Cal Republic defeated the Georgia Grays, 9-6, at House of the Republic today. Leading the charge for So Cal was shortstop Eddie Joost. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Yoon-tae Pack picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Mike Huerta was tagged with the loss. George Fortin earned save number 8.
Andy Grimley aided the So Cal cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher went 1-5 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
Grimley expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
With the win, So Cal elevates its record to 15-13.
